CUNY Reading Corps

Dr. Miles co-founded CUNY Reading Corps, which trains graduate and undergraduate preservice teachers in Reading Ready and Reading Go!. In academic year 2021-2022, the program trained 650 CUNY preservice teachers who tutored over 1,200 NYC DOE striving readers from underserved communities. This academic year, 2022-2023, the program aims to train 800 CUNY preservice teachers who will tutor over 2,700 students. Several NYC foundations have supported this work.
